The Divisional Secretary, together with the Casework Officer, deals with most of the casework in Devon with assistance from professional staff from the SW Regional Office in Exeter. The Divisional Secretary will also consult and negotiate with the Devon LEA on matters of education, pay and conditions of service.

The National Executive Member and Casework Officer, Barrie Frost, deals with the national Policy for the NUT.
